It's harder making friends past a certain age. Probably because we're a lot pickier on what we want in a friend, and because of time limitations. Almost everyone I know that's my age is busy working, and the only thing they have time for is to grab a coffee (what makes it worse is that I don't drink coffee). We have to make plans based around our jobs, responsibilities, and our level of energy. It's just.... sad.

:'( True!

Get coffee without coffee! (tastes kinda like watery milk, and almost exactly like sitting cozy in a shop watching my smoky friends shivering in the snow.) There has to be some other beverage you can have. Don't let healthy lifestyle choices deter you from healthy friendships!

As an aside, recently, I started following a youtube channel called "the school of life" run by british philosopher Alain de Botton. I think he talks about a lot of topics that you write about, maybe it can be validating despite the mildly offensive channel name. Assuming you decide to give a minutae about what he has to say.
